About Us

Welcome to Troop 431

Troop 431 has operated continuously in the East Penn community since 1977. We have built our reputation on the quality of our outdoor program, and we support the Aims of Scouting in all our programs. Troop 431 prides itself on our outdoor program and has many service projects throughout the year, summer camps, and running High Adventure trips for our older Scouts such as:

  1. Canoeing in the Adirondack Mountains
  2. Sailing, snorkeling, and fishing at the Florida Sea Base
  3. Trekking the Rocky Mountains of Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico
  4. Backpacking and camping on the Appalachian Trail

While maintaining an active outdoor adventure program, we are also trying to encourage each Scout along the advancement trail to Eagle Scout.  Our goal is to have each scout learn and realize the values of Scouting, and to develop leadership skills.

Over the years, our impact on the community has been noteworthy - more than 80 of our Scouts have conducted community projects to complete the requirements to attain the Eagle Scout rank, the highest rank a Boy Scout can achieve.  These projects have included landscaping and enhancing parks for Lower Macungie Township, Emmaus Borough, Macungie Borough, and the Wildlands Conservancy; building playgrounds for local Church pre-school programs;  cleaning, restoring, and enhancing areas of local Cemeteries, Fire Stations, Memorial Gardens; and organizing and running projects for local charities

Our Meeting Place – Concordia Lutheran Church

We are also fortunate to have a very active Adult Leadership group. In addition to our Scoutmaster, we have numerous registered Assistant Scoutmasters, and additional adults serving on our Troop committee.

The Troop meets every Thursday night, 7:00pm-8:30pm, at Concordia Lutheran Church.
